
Erdal Doğan
Doğan was born in 1973 in Erzurum, Turkey. He completed his education in Yalova and Istanbul. He has been working as a lawyer since 2000.
Doğan was a writer, editor, and member of the board of the quarterly journal on human rights, law, and philosophy, Humanite, in 2003-2007. In addition to Hittite Law, he is the author of the book Defendants’ Rights and Advocacy in Practice (2006) and an essay in the Haluk İnanıcı-edited volume Shattered Justice (2011).
Since 2001, Doğan has been writing about human rights and current events for various journals and daily newspapers. During the same period, Doğan has also been giving lessons on penal law, European Law, defendants’ rights, and advocacy in practice to lawyers and law apprentices at the Istanbul Bar Association Educational Center and Vocational Training Seminars.
